Yale and the World Partnership Fund Supplement

AI at Yale is excited to partner with the Yale and the World Partnership Fund and the Office of International Affairs on supplemental grants of $15,000 to support projects that strengthen Yale’s international relationships for 2026.  AI at Yale applicants have the option to apply for this supplemental grant at the end of their AI at Yale Seed grant application in InfoReady.  Up to two grants are available.

To be considered for a Yale and the World Partnership Fund supplemental grants, you will be asked to provide:

  • Name of the international university, network, government entity or other international institution you intend to collaborate with (25 words max); and
  • Describe the current state of the partnership and its potential to grow or expand in the future because of the proposed activity; if the relationship is already strong, describe how this proposal significantly expands the partnership (500 words max).

Eligible proposals for Yale and the World Partnership Funding will:

  • Establish promising new international relationships with the potential for long-term collaboration; or
  • Significantly expand existing international collaborations into new frontiers.

I want to apply for the Yale and the World Partnership Fund supplement, where do I put that in the AI at Yale budget?  Do not include the $15k supplement in your main budget proposal. Instead, be sure to articulate how these additional funds would be spent within your response to the Yale and the World Partnership Fund prompt (500-word maximum). 

Is international relationship building a selection criteria for AI at Yale proposals? No, the AI at Yale criteria are listed under Selection Criteria in the AI at Yale CFP.  The colloborative application process also allows for an optional 500-word proposal for an international relationship building component, co-sponsored by the Office of International Affairs’ Yale and the World Partnership Fund, that supplements the main AI proposal.
