Sendhil Mullainathan is a Professor of Economics and Engineering & Computer Science at MIT. His recent work focuses on the application of machine learning to human behavior in contexts spanning economics, law, education and beyond. His is currently developing algorithmic models he calls “Bicycles for the Mind”—a metaphor for efficiency. Mullainathan’s work has been recognized with a MacArthur “Genius Grant” and listings as a “Top 100 Thinker” by Foreign Policy Magazine and “Smart List: 50 people who will change the world” by Wired Magazine.  Co-sponsored by AI at Yale, Yale Library, and the Data Intensive Social Science Center.

Location and Parking Tips

Enter either from York Street through the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning (street access) or from Wall Street (pedestrian only access).  Metered parking is enforced and rarely available on York.  Closest parking lot is the Shops at Yale lot on the Broadway island (aka 56 Broadway parking lot ($2/hour)).  Additional visitor parking options.
