Report of the Yale Task Force on Artificial Intelligence

In January 2024, Provost Scott Strobel assembled the Yale Task Force on Artificial Intelligence (YTAI), a group of faculty and campus leaders from across the university. Over the course of a semester, the Task Force engaged with dean-led faculty AI panels and university experts in education, collections, clinical practice, and operations to review AI activity underway throughout Yale and develop a vision for Yale’s leadership in AI.

The Task Force report, published in June, identifies themes that emerged in conversation with colleagues all over campus and informs many of Yale’s investments to support faculty, students, and staff as they engage with AI. The report includes summaries of school and unit efforts and goals related to AI.
