Power BI Copilot

Power BI Copilot is an AI-enhanced feature integrated into both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. It utilizes generative AI technology to assist users in extracting and sharing insights from data more effectively.

Here’s how Power BI Copilot can enhance your data analysis:

  • Interactive Queries: Ask specific questions or describe the insights you’re seeking. Copilot understands these requests and performs data analysis accordingly.

  • Automated Report Generation: Pull the relevant data and instantly create reports. This transformation from raw data to actionable insights is streamlined, saving you significant time and effort.

  • Summary Creation: Quickly generate narratives and summaries about your report pages, making it easier to communicate findings clearly.

However, there are some details to keep in mind:

  • Visual Modifications: Once visuals are generated, Copilot currently does not have the capability to modify them.

  • Filter and Slicer Settings: Copilot cannot add filters or set slicers based on your prompts, meaning some manual adjustments are still necessary after the initial report generation.

Power BI Copilot is particularly useful for users who need to rapidly convert datasets into understandable reports and share insights.
